Visualisation And Imagination

Uddiyana Bandha is an abdominal lock used in some yoga traditions. It generally involves drawing the abdomen inward and upward after exhalation, with breath held only when appropriate for the practitioner.

Do not practise breath retention or abdominal locks during pregnancy or if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, a hernia, or another condition for which straining may be unsafe. Learn the technique from a qualified instructor and follow individualized medical advice.
