Mudra therapy an non medical mode of treatment

Understanding mudras without overstating medical benefits

Hand gestures may appear in yoga, ritual, or meditation. They can be described respectfully as traditional practices without presenting them as proven therapies for illness.

Tradition versus evidence

Traditional texts may attribute effects to a gesture, but a traditional explanation is not the same as clinical evidence that it treats a condition.

A comfortable routine

If you enjoy the practice, rest your hands in a relaxed position during meditation and continue breathing normally. Stop if you feel pain, tingling, or distress.

Medical care remains important

Use appropriate professional assessment for symptoms and follow prescribed treatment. Do not rely on gestures for urgent conditions or chronic disease management.

Safety and limits

Mudras should be optional complementary practices only, not replacements for medication, diagnostic testing, or emergency care.
