Setubandha Asana

Setubandha Asana — Historical Context

Practice note: Setubandha Asana is a traditional yoga-related practice. Approach it gradually, use a stable comfortable posture, and do not force the neck, spine, joints, or breathing. Stop if pain, faintness, or significant discomfort occurs.

Purpose: A useful way to study the practice is to learn its basic form, preparation, breathing pattern, and limitations. Traditional descriptions should not be treated as proof that a practice can diagnose, cure, or prevent a medical condition.
